Henry Ward, CEO of eShares and TU2k alum, recently shared his experiences raising a Series A on Medium. It’s a good read and includes great takeaways (and also, the post got nice shout outs from investors like USV).
TLDR:
Fundraising is a filtering exercise, not a popularity contest.
If you are a fintech startup, go East!
Ask for feedback other than “the market size isn’t big enough.”
Avoid VCs who ask for unit economics.
Success is harder than failure.
Thanks for sharing, Henry!
